Sweet Potato Chips Worth The Cravings

Not only are these air fryer sweet potato chips healthier than store-bought versions, but they’re also super customizable.

  • Want them smoky? Add some cumin.
  • Craving a sweet version? Sprinkle cinnamon and coconut sugar before air frying.

They’re gluten-free, dairy-free, and honestly addictive. Just be warned—you might eat the whole batch before they make it to the table. (No judgment here 😉)

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 15 minutes
Total Time 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 Large sweet potato (or 2 small to medium sweet potatoes) washed, peeled optional
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp Sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic powder optional
  • 1/4 tsp Smoked paprika optional
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Slice the sweet potato thinly using a mandoline or a sharp knife.
  • Soak the slices in a bowl of cold water for 10–15 minutes to help remove excess starch. Drain and pat completely dry with a towel.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F.
  • Toss the slices with olive oil, sea salt, smoked paprika, and a dash of black pepper. Constantly mix and stir to get the seasoning to coat all of the sweet potato chip slices.
  • Arrange in a single layer in the air fryer basket (work in batches to avoid overcrowding).
  • Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through. Keep an eye on them as they can go from crisp to burnt quickly. Then roast for about 5 minutes to get the liquid out of the chips.
  • Cool on a wire rack for max crispiness. Enjoy!
