It’s savory with a dash of balsamic-y sweetness.

  • Brussels sprouts, halved or shaved: I use shaved most of the time when I cook this recipe. Because they’re easier to chew and still soak up all the yummy flavors.
  • Olive oil: To help the sprouts get that crispy edge.
  • Balsamic vinegar: Adds the perfect hint of sweetness.
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Smoked paprika
  • Real bacon bits (store-bought or homemade)

How To Make Caramelized Brussels Sprouts with Bacon

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Mix together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder in a medium mixing bowl.

Toss the brussels sprouts in the mixture.

Spread the brussel sprouts onto a cooking sheet. Then, sprinkle the bacon bits evenly on top of the brussel sprouts.

Cook for 15-18 minutes.

These brussels sprouts are the perfect side dish to your savory entree!

  • 1 Medium mixing bowl
  • 1 Large mixing spoon
  • 1 Cooking tray

Ingredients

  • 10 oz Brussels sprouts halved or shaved*
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • tsp balsamic vinegar
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • ¾ tsp garlic powder
  • 2-3 tbsp real bacon bits (store-bought or homemade)
  • ¼ tsp smoked paprika

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Mix together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder in a medium mixing bowl.
  • Toss in the brussel sprouts and mix thoroughly with a spoon to coat the brussels sprouts.
  • Spread the brussel sprouts onto a cooking sheet.
  • Sprinkle the bacon bits evenly on top of the brussel sprouts.
  • Cook for 15-18 minutes.

Notes

I prefer shaved brussels sprouts! It’s easier to coat in the flavors, and easier to chew.
I get PRE-WASHED brussels sprouts. Saves me so much time!
