I used to always get brown rice when i’d go to Chipotle, then one day I decided to switch it up and try the white cilantro lime rice… and I fell in love.
Now this freshly squeezed lime and chopped cilantro side dish is something I can confidently make at home with only a few SIMPLE and CLEAN ingredients!

The beauty of the rice cooker is that it takes all the guesswork out of the equation. It maintains a consistent temperature, senses when the water has been absorbed, and often switches to a “keep warm” setting, ensuring your rice is never overcooked.

Equipment
- 1 Rice cooker
Ingredients
- 1 cup Basmati rice
- 1 ¾ cups Water or Vegetable Broth
- 1 tsp Oil
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 1 ½ Lime juice
- 2 tbsp Cilantro
Instructions
- Rinse Your Rice to removes excess starch, preventing sticky, gummy rice. Place your desired amount of rice in a fine-mesh sieve and rinse under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a rice cooker, combine the jasmine rice, water, oil, juice from 1 lime and start the rice cooker.
- Let it cook until done (approx. 20 minutes) until the rice cooker goes from cook to warm.
- Once done, squeeze 1/2 lime juice and sprinkle and stir in cilantro.
