One of my favorite easy meals to make are rice bowls, so why not add to the versatility of rice bowls with this delicious spicy shrimp rice bowl! Full of flavor, protein, and quick enough to make after a long day of work as an easy dinner meal as well.

This savory and spicy shrimp rice bowl is so mouthwateringly good, you’ll feel compelled to add this to your monthly rotation!

It’s the kind of dish that looks like you spent way more time on it than you actually did.


Ingredients

For the shrimp:

  • Cayenne pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • White wine vinegar

Rice:

  • Long grain white rice (like jasmine rice ir basmati rice)
  • Black sesame
  • Minced garlic
  • Salt & Pepper

Veggie Mix:

  • Cucumber
  • Carrot

Equipment

  • 1 Medium mixing bowl
  • 1 Medium to large pan
  • 1 Spatula

Ingredients

Shrimp
  • 1 bag Shrimp 16 oz bag
  • ½ tsp Garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Crispy garlic in chili oil
Rice cooker rice
  • 1 cup Long grain white rice
  • ½ tbsp Olive oil
  • ½ tsp Salt
Cucumber + carrot mix

Instructions

Shrimp

  • Pat shrimp dry. Toss with chili garlic sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Heat neutral oil in a pan over medium-high.
  • Sear shrimp 2-3 minutes per side until pink and lightly charred.
  • Finish with an extra spoon of chili garlic sauce if you want it spicier.

Veggie Mix

  • Cut up some cucumbers, carrots, and avocados and add to your bowl.

Rice

  • Add the rice, oil, and salt in a rice cooker. Then cook until done.
