Perfectly Spiced Vegan Snickerdoodle Recipe (Gluten Free & Dairy Free)
My first cookie recipe is one of my favorite types of cookie, it’s your new favorite vegan Snickerdoodle recipe! Cinnamon-y goodness, soft and sweet treat that you will want your dessert after your 9 to 5 Feast.
Even though I will eat regular cookies every once in a while, I do have a slight gluten sensitivity and I’m lactose intolerant. So it makes sense for me to have a fully vegan, dairy free, and gluten free snickerdoodle cookie recipe!
What Do I Need For My Vegan Snickerdoodle Recipe?
The ingredients for our vegan snickerdoodle cookies are all dairy free and gluten free!

Dry Ingredients:
- Gluten-free flour: I have been using King Arthur brand and I’ve loved it because it already has xanthan gum which is a thickener.
- Corn starch
- Baking soda
- Baking Powder
- Cream of tartar
- Sugar
- Cinammon
Wet Ingredients:
- Softened dairy free butter
- Applesauce
- Vanilla extract
How To Make Vegan Snickerdoodle Cookies
Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix Wet Ingredients: Mix the sugar and vegan butter in a medium bowl until light and fluffy. Then, add applesauce in and mix thoroughly.
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a different bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, baking powder, cornstarch, cinnamon, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.
In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon. Roll tablespoon-sized dough balls and coat them in the snickerdoodle mixture.

Bake for about 10 minutes until they’re puffed and golden. Then let cool for 5 minutes. I used a spatula to flatten the cookies a bit. Then enjoy!
