What Do I Need For My Vegan Sugar Cookes Gluten Free Recipe?

Dry Ingredients:
  • Gluten-free flour
  • Corn starch
  • Baking soda
  • Baking Powder
  • Cream of tartar
  • Brown sugar
  • Xanthum Gum (only if your gluten free flour doesn’t have any)
Wet Ingredients:
  • Softened dairy free butter
  • Applesauce
  • Vanilla extract

How To Make The Best Vegan Sugar Cookies Gluten Free

Preheat your oven to 275 degrees.

Mix Wet Ingredients: Mix the sugar and vegan butter in a medium bowl until light and fluffy. Then, add applesauce in and mix thoroughly.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.

Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet. If the dough feels dry, add non-dairy milk 1 teaspoon at a time until a the dough becomes softer.

Roll dough into balls or flatten slightly with your hands or a rolling pin (use parchment if sticky). Use cookie cutters if desired.

Then bake for 10 minutes.

  • 1/4 cup refined coconut oil solid (or vegan butter)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
